About Garcia and Ramirez

Oscar Garcia is a first generation United States citizen and Laredo, Texas native. He understands first hand the issues that affect immigrating families. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, formerly Southwest Texas State University, he went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University in 2000. In 2001, Oscar G. Garcia was a founding shareholder in the Law Offices of Garcia, Ramirez, Gonzalez & Pina, formerly the Law Offices of Garcia & Ramirez.

Oscar G. Garcia’s primary practice is in immigration law. He has years of experience representing clients before the Immigration court and the Immigration service throughout the United States. He has assisted investors start their business in the United States and maintain it in compliance with evolving Immigration Law. He has also represented an extensive number of families seeking to live temporarily or permanently in the United States.

Oscar G. Garcia is a member of the Texas Bar, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He also makes regular radio and television appearances to promote public information relating to Immigration Law. Oscar G. Stephen Ramirez is a partner at the Law Offices of Garcia & Ramirez, P.C. Mr. Ramirez is a graduate of Texas Southern University and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 2001. He has over 10 years of experience in all aspects of immigration law including family based petitions, deportation defense and investor and business visas. Stephen has focused for the past 5 years in the areas of deportation defense as well as state and federal criminal defense. Mr. Ramirez also practices before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and files civil claims against the Department of Homeland Security for constitutional or tortious violations of client’s rights.

Mr. Ramirez has been recognized for his prose work with juvenile immigrants, some of which were orphans, over the span of his career. He has practiced throughout the Federal courts of South Texas including Laredo, Del Rio, Brownsville, McAllen, Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Houston.

If you are facing the possibility of being removed from the country, he will fight to keep you here with your family.
