Adriana is originally from Belton, Texas. As the daughter of Mexican nationals, Adriana closely identifies with the immigrant community. Adriana moved to San Antonio, Texas to attend St. Mary’s University. After graduating with a degree in Criminology, she relocated to Jacksonville, Florida to attend Florida Coastal School of Law. During her time in law school Adriana represented low-income clients in a various immigration and criminal matters including U Visas, Naturalization, and Removal Defense. In her clinical work she represented and advocated for clients before the Orlando Immigration Court and ultimately obtained Asylum for her client. Before joining Garcia and Ramirez, Adriana worked at a local law firm focusing on business and family law. She also volunteered with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office and Community Justice Program clinic.
Adriana’s legal experience includes Family based petitions both before USCIS locally and with consulates abroad, Waivers, U and T visas, VAWA, Naturalization, DACA, Military Parole in Place, Special Immigrant Juvenile, Removal defense, Divorce and Custody and Criminal law. Adriana focuses her practice on Removal Defense including representation before Immigration Courts on matters such as asylum, withholding of removal, cancellation of removal and bond hearings.
